Syrian Venus (Restration No.1 by Photo-Modeliong and 3-D Printing):
The female figurine had been deposited at the University of Tokyo for a while after the excavation for restoration and research. The 360 degree omni-view photos that are used for the Photo-Modeling abd 3-D Printing were shot by Texnai's AutoQTVR system during that period and total 132 photos are used for the 3-D Modeling. Till today in general, Laser Scanner has been used for creating this kind of 3-D model, but it has been quite hard to realize an accurate texture mapping. In case of Photo Modeling, the mapping texture is automatically generated from the photos. This might be the biggest feature of the Photo-Modeling method.
