Comment:
A view of the panel of engravings. This panel is 4.3m above the floor, so the Paleolithic artist had to climb up a stalagmitic flowstone. The composition represents six aurochs depicted as a "Herd", with similarly sized figures all facing in the same direction. This is perhaps one of the few quasi-narrative scenes in Cantabrian cave art. These six bulls were drawn with simple fine lines, which removed the blackish surface layer of the wall. As a result, their visibility is excellent.
