Solutrean-Lower Magdalenian. ca.19000-16000 BP Techniques: Paint Comment: This figure of a hind facing right was painted with a series of overlapping red dots. The figure is well-conserved, except for its belly and limb, which have faded. The hind has a triangular head, long V-shaped ears, and cervical-dorsal line with the characteristic form of the croup. Two partition lines are painted inside the body, one separating the head from the neck and the other going from the withers to the chest. A few centimeters above and to the right, the head of another hind can be seen. It faces left and is painted with a discontinuous dotted line. These two hinds are about one meter above the floor, and approximately half a meter from the rift leading into this small side-chamber.
