Entrance of Venta de la Perra opened at the bottom of Mt.Carlista, the River Carranza gorge on the boundary between the Basque Country and Cantabria. The bear that is engraved in the shelter near the entrance is sometimes identified as a cave bear because of the convex form of its skull.
