Comment:
An engraving of a horse facing right seen at the entrance of the cave. It is framed by cracks and edges of the rock, and is practically whole, except for the chest area. The line is wide and deep, and this is characteristic of engravings in older moments in the sequence of Cantabrian cave art. Therefore this horse probably corresponds to the Gravettian period or the early Solutrean. In the entrance of the cave, both side walls have animal figures engraved with deep lines. On the left there is a horse (HP004) and other non-figurative lines. The right-hand wall used to have a figure of a bison, but this disappeared, probably when the cave was being prepared for tourist visits.
